Air from port B forces the pistons inwards, causes the pinion to turn clockwise while air exhausted through port A. Single Acting Air from port A forces the pistons outwards, and causes the springs to compressed, the pinion turns anticlockwise while air exhausted through port B. Then loss of air force, compressed spring force the piston inwards, causes the pinion turns clockwise. The non-standard rotation direction is to reverse the position of two pistons, the introduction of pressure into the A can rotate clockwise, the introduction of pressure into the B can rotate counterclockwise.   Applied on small/middle rotary valves, such as ball valve, butterfly valve and so on.
